Due Forchette (2/3) — Gambero Rosso Top Italian Restaurants 2023. Elio, Desireè, Michelle and Fabienne Marsiglia curate the fine cuisine of Ristorante Riviera as if it were in their own home. Ligurian olive oil of excellent quality and the well-built and well-presented Mediterranean traditional pasta dishes include sumptuous Spaghetti from Gragnano of the Gerardo di Nola brand topped with clams on a cream of turnip tops. The elegant ambiance is relaxed with sleek modern lines and touches of nostalgia with Lambretta scooters and vintage Vespas and a fantastic view on the isthmus of Lake Thun, nestled in the Bernese Oberland mountains. The pizza is well-made, thanks above all to the refined ingredients. The wine list shows great expertise with unusual choices but obviously the result of attentive research.
