Belitong UNESCO Global Geopark

UNESCO Global Geopark, inscribed 2021, in Indonesia. Walk along a 650-meter trail through the serene Kuale Granite Mangrove Forest, home to at least six mangrove species and rich geological history dating back 145 million years. Explore the Nam Salu Open Pit at Gunung Kik Karak, one of Southeast Asia’s oldest tin mines, where visitors can see remnants of historic tin-processing technologies and some of the island’s oldest exposed rocks.
