Saimaa UNESCO Global Geopark

UNESCO Global Geopark, inscribed 2021, in Finland. The Puumala Art Path combines art and geology with eight checkpoints that reveal the geological stories behind landscape paintings. The Saimaa Geopark Visitor Centre, located in Imatra’s Culturehouse Virta, offers extensive information on the geology and developmental history of the Saimaa region.
