Shinan Dadohae Biosphere Reserve

UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, inscribed 2009, in Republic of Korea. Shinan Dadohae is an island archipelago in the south-west of the Republic of Korea. It includes terrestrial and marine areas as well as large tidal flats that host diverse species and serve as resting places for rare migratory birds. Traditional forms of fishing, such as hand fishing, and salt production are still practised.
