Panna Biosphere Reserve
2020UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, inscribed 2020, in India. Panna Biosphere Reserve falls within the biogeographic zones of the Deccan Peninsula and the biotic province of the Central Highlands. It comprises effectively protected and minimally disturbed areas. Land uses include forests, agriculture, waterbodies, settlements and wastelands, providing ample scope for research and management. The reserve is habitat to various rare and endangered species. Panna National Park has also been declared the Panna Tiger Reserve. In addition, the entire area of Panna National Park and three parts of the Gangau Sanctuary have been notified as a Critical Tiger Habitat.
