Sikhote-Alin Biosphere Reserve

UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, inscribed 1978, in Russian Federation. This biosphere reserve lies in the Manchurian–Japanese Mixed Forest biogeographical region in the far south-east of Russia. It comprises a complex system that includes the central eastern part of the Sikhote-Alin mountain ranges and marine areas of the Sea of Japan.
