1986UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, inscribed 1986, in United States of America. This biosphere reserve in south-eastern Alaska consists of two units, Glacier Bay and Admiralty Island. The latest episode of ice recession began only 200 years ago, and the ice within Glacier Bay has withdrawn about 95 km during this period.
