Lower Morava Biosphere Reserve

UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, inscribed 1986, in Czechia. Situated in South Moravia, about 35 km south of Brno and adjacent to the Austrian and Slovak borders, the area is dominated by the Pavlov Hills, whose limestone cliffs and steep slopes support steppe, forest and grassland. A considerable part of the landscape has also been converted to arable land and vineyards.
