Riding Mountain Biosphere Reserve

UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, inscribed 1986, in Canada. Riding Mountain Biosphere Reserve is located in south-central Canada, about 300 km north-west of Winnipeg, Manitoba. It is situated at the junction of the grassland and boreal forest biomes. Forests cover most of the area and are dominated by aspen (Populus tremuloides).
