Sumava Biosphere Reserve

UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, inscribed 1990, in Czechia. The Šumava Biosphere Reserve includes a substantial part of the north-east-facing Bohemian Forest, a large Hercynian mid-mountain range that straddles the border between the Czechia, Germany and Austria. The reserve lies adjacent to the Bayerischer Wald Biosphere Reserve in Germany.
