UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, inscribed 2004, in Russian Federation. Kedrovaya Pad is the oldest Russian reserve, created in 1916 and located in the extreme south of the Russian Far East, not far from the borders with China and Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Two main mountain ridges, Gakkelevsky and Sukhorechensky, at around 400 metres above sea level, characterise the relief and form a river valley.
