Sierra de Huautla Biosphere Reserve

UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, inscribed 2006, in Mexico. Sierra de Huautla Biosphere Reserve, known as REBIOSH, is located in the Balsas basin and is a rich reservoir of species endemic to Mexico. Its rugged topography creates an altitudinal range from 700 to 2,240 m above sea level. The site presents a broad representation of ecosystems, notably low deciduous forest, gallery vegetation and pine–oak forest.
