UNESCO Global Geopark, inscribed 2015, in China. The Traditional Torch Festival is one of the most important and splendid festivals in southwestern China. The Naigu (or ‘black’) Stone Forest in the north of the geopark features dark-coloured dolomitic limestone. Changhu Lake, surrounded by green hills, is a natural karst lake where traditional festivals are held, and also makes for a good picnic spot.
