Zhangjiajie UNESCO Global Geopark

UNESCO Global Geopark, inscribed 2015, in China. There are four scenic areas in the UNESCO Global Geopark – Zhangjiajie, Suoxiyu, Tianzishan and Yangjiajie – featuring 40 geosites of national significance and 12 of international significance. Zhangjiajie’s landscapes may feel familiar to those who have seen Avatar, the blockbuster movie that was filmed here.
