Idrija UNESCO Global Geopark

UNESCO Global Geopark, inscribed 2015, in Slovenia. Fish for trout in the crystal-clear waters of the Idrija River in the Upper Idrijca Landscape Park. Walk Anthony’s Mine Road and visit the interactive Hg Visitors Centre dedicated to mercury. In 2012, the region’s mercury mining heritage was listed as UNESCO World Heritage.
