Courel Mountains UNESCO Global Geopark

UNESCO Global Geopark, inscribed 2019, in Spain. The geopark is on the Camino de Santiago route, on the way to Santiago de Compostela. Several important archaeological sites, including the Castros de Viladonga, a fortified settlement that dates to the Iron Age, are well worth a visit.
