Black River Gorges-Bel Ombre Biosphere Reserve

UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, inscribed 1977, in Mauritius. This biosphere reserve is located on Mauritius, an island in the Indian Ocean. It is important for conserving the last remaining fragments of the island’s endemic vegetation, namely tropical evergreen forest.
