Mount Myohyang Biosphere Reserve

UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, inscribed 2009, in Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The Mount Myohyang Biosphere Reserve covers the mountain areas of the Myohyang and Jokyuryong ranges on the left bank of the River Chongchon. The Myohyang Mountains debouch from Mount Rangrim and stretch north-east and south-west along the border of South Phyongan Province, linking Piro Peak (1,909 m) almost to Mount Sobak (2,014 m).
