Niubeiliang Biosphere Reserve

UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, inscribed 2012, in China. Niubeiliang Biosphere Reserve hosts typical representative fauna and flora for the Qinling Mountains. The relatively undisturbed natural forests have recorded the highest biodiversity in the eastern Qinling Mountains. Residents in the transition zone have developed innovative land-based industries in cooperation with research institutions, which are also active in scientific research and monitoring.
