Yasuni Biosphere Reserve

UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, inscribed 1989, in Ecuador. The Yasuní Biosphere Reserve is located in the Amazon region, in Napo Province in northern Ecuador. The dominant ecosystem is humid tropical rainforest, part of the upper Amazon basin. The Yasuní Biosphere Reserve is recognised as one of the most biodiverse areas per square metre on the planet.
