Selva El Ocote Biosphere Reserve

UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, inscribed 2006, in Mexico. This is one of the two regions in the country with a considerably large stretch of highland and medium-altitude forest characteristic of the Mexican humid tropics. Its importance stems from its size, biological diversity, and ecological and geological relevance.
